PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., Sept. 30, 2024 -- Gallopade International, headquartered in Peachtree City, Georgia, will celebrate its 45th anniversary on October 31, 2024. The company has been located in the area since 1997 and has grown to become a well-known presence in the local business community.
Gallopade was founded in 1979 as a publishing company with the introduction of CEO Carole Marsh’s first book, "The Mystery of Blackbeard the Pirate." After the success of her first title, Marsh continued to write more mysteries for kids, launching the award-winning "Real Kids! Real Places!," "Girl Scout Mysteries," "Pretty Darn Scary Mysteries," and "Around the World Mysteries" series. Four decades later, Marsh is still creating new titles and new adventures for young readers, with recent titles including "James Bone - 007 Years Old - Licensed to Dig!," "Starved for Books," and "The Mystery of the Haunted Library."
Beyond these beloved titles, Gallopade further established itself as a pioneer in Social Studies education, crafting thousands of resources tailored for classrooms across all 50 states. This commitment caught the attention of the Virginia Department of Education, which approached Gallopade to create a state-specific Social Studies textbook. This initiative sparked the company's mission to develop customized, standards-aligned Social Studies curricula for numerous states, including Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio, and Tennessee. Today, Gallopade Curriculum boasts a diverse array of print and digital resources designed to enhance both classroom instruction and online learning, making teaching more manageable and learning more enjoyable. Educators who partner with Gallopade consistently report significant improvements in student performance and test scores. With plans to expand into even more states in the coming years, Gallopade is dedicated to transforming Social Studies education nationwide.
To celebrate its 45 years of growth, community, and achievements, the company is hosting a month of activities, including special appearances by the author at local schools to introduce her new titles to a new generation of students. The festivities will culminate in a 70s-themed Halloween and anniversary celebration, honoring the decade that launched the company’s journey.
